Guest Review from Kent March, 2007 We loved the room we had ( Swan ) and the quality of the fittings, bed, linen etc. We were bowled over by the overall quality of the bar area, lounge, log fires and dining area's. The service was impeccable, seamless and friendly. Outstanding. The food was excellent as was the choice of wines on the list and we very much enjoyed what we chose. We will be recommending the westleton crown to ALL our friends and look forward to a return visit as soon as is practical. |

Suffolk Magazine - Take a Break January, 2007 Goosedown duvets smother the beds plus Egyptian cotton linen. Four poster beds and beautiful traditional furniture are available in some rooms, although more contemporary choices are available. The restaurant has a double rosette and comes highly recommended. |

Guest Review January, 2008 We were very pleased with this hotel, the room was warm and welcoming and we really appreciated the little touches such as home-made biscuits, cafetiere and exclusive toiletries. Dinner was excellent with good quality, local ingredients and fantastic old fashioned puddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. |

Suffolk Magazine - Food & Drink January, 2006 For the purposes of the photographs the Chef rustled up crispy confit of duck which was succulent and full of flavour, served with a crisp bean sprout and cos lettuce salad and sesame seed dressing. This last trio of apple desserts is an imaginative seasonal variation on the chocolate lovers' platter and works really well. The chances are you'll want to linger a while first though, and enjoy the rustic charm of this traditional coaching inn. |

Guest Review June, 2008 My fiancé and I had a fantastic weekend at the Westleton Crown - lovely room with a great bathroom, wonderful view of the local church and a really comfy bed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they were really friendly and polite and we had excellent service on both days. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and I would really recommend it - delicious, well prepared, seasonal food. The fish dishes including a superb scallop starter were a highlight. |

Guest Review June, 2008 We were made welcome despite the additional canine companion and arrangements were made for us to dine in the bar as opposed to the restaurant. The food was first rate with absolutely no complaint. The service was attentive without being overbearing. |

Guest Review May, 2008 My wife and I had never travelled to Suffolk and were recommended The Crown by a friend. We took ourselves and our dog for a long week-end (Friday - Monday) and enjoyed an extremely pleasant and rewarding week-end. From the time we arrived until the time of departure we experienced the courtesies of a warm, friendly and highly professional staff. Our room was beautifully appointed, well furnished and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent and despite prior considerations to eat elsewhere we enjoyed Dinner every evening at The Crown. I have no reservations in recommending this establishment. |

Guest Review March, 2008 We recently stayed for two nights at the Westleton crown, and could not fault the hotel or service throughout our stay. Room was very good value, and all facilities were excellent - the dining was so good, we stayed in both nights for our meal! Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to others. |

Tripadvisor May, 2009 May 23, 2009 My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights, we were travelling with my son and his wife who both live in Tokyo Japan in the exclusive Chiyoda District, and had returned to England for a short break. We have travelled throughout the far East staying at many exclusive 5 star hotels but our stay at the Westleton Crown was excellent the food was excellent, the room excellent and the location excellent, we woke early morning for a walk on Dunwich Heath 5 mins from the hotel we saw herds of wild deer in excess of 25 in number. The food was equivalent to many of the top rated hotels and restaurants we have eaten in. We have already recommended this hotel to two very good friends who have booked up. |

Tripadvisor May, 2009 “From start to finish this place has the lot.” May 16, 2009 My partner and I have recently come back from a weekend away at the Westleton Crown. We arrived Friday evening to be warmly welcomed by the receptionist and she gave us the key to the "Kingfisher room". This is one of the Westletons "Best" Rooms and I can say we were not let down. The room itself has low beams and although I am tall, my head was still clear. It has a lovely romantic feel to the room and the bed and furnishings are of a high standard, right down to the delightful home made biscuits. Then we come to the bathroom which has a lovely wet room and very large roll top bath where 2 can easily relax. We ate that night at the restaurant and that was our first encounter of Frederick, and being in customer service myself, I was amazed at his detailed knowledge of the menus both evening and the breakfast, and also his attention to our meal etc. He has to be one of the best restaurant managers I have encounted, the food itself is quite stunning some of the meals are very complex but the steak and ale pie is a pure delight. The second night I had arranged for us to be moved (without my partner's knowledge) as it was her birthday the hotel had placed flowers and home made chocolates in the room which was the "Swan room" with 4 poster bed and the roll top bath in the actual room, watching Tv in the bath is something not to be missed! The breakfast was also very nice with good choice and great local produce. All in all this place is an excellent place to stay for a romantic getaway or even a base for visting the local area. The price itself is very good for the level of accomodation and service provided. I would not hesitate in staying here again and I would recomend it highly to anyone that asked. |

Tripadvisor May, 2009 “Chic and cheerful” Chic room (walk-in shower and roll-top bath!) at an honest price. The staff are proud of where they work, very friendly and most are local, so they were interested to know where our winter rambling had taken us (Jake especially). The bar enjoys a central village location and boasts a big fire; breakfast and the fish and chips on the first night were a delight. Room for improvement? A digital radio in the room and less gravy on the steak perhaps, but I am very difficult to please. There are a number of social areas for residents to escape to if the weather resigns some to stay indoors, but we were blessed with blue skies and lapwings .... A treat. |
